Ashanti is showing that hard work pays off.

The Grammy winner, 40, shared an Instagram video celebrating her fitness journey and showing off her toned abs. In the video, Ashanti rocks a purple sequined bikini and a sheer flowing robe while strutting toward the camera. She finished off her look with a pair of chunky white sunglasses and styled her hair in an angled bob.

“Energy ✨✨✨💫 When u been in the gym 33 days and you’re eating fries tonight!!! 💃🏾💃🏾🤣,” Ashanti captioned her post.

Fans flooded the comments section with praise for the singer, dropping in heart and fire emojis. One wrote, “She worked hard for that body 👏🏼.”

Another added, “Are u saying u went 33 days without fries ?!? Cuz if so, u strong asf for that 😩🤣.”

And while plenty of followers were focused on Ashanti’s poolside look, others were more tuned in on the music she featured in the background of her post, with some asking if the track she sampled was an upcoming release.

“Am i tripping or is this your voice?? are we getting new music?! 👀🙏🏾” one hopeful fan commented.

Ashanti has been open about her fitness routine and health regimen in the past, and shares plenty of bikini snaps on her Instagram feed.

She told PEOPLE in 2019 that she strives to “have balance” in her routine, explaining, “you have to eat clean and you have to work out,” but, “you have to allow yourself at least two cheat days so that it doesn’t become too strict.”

Her fitness routine involves working with her trainer, Ashanti explained, who helps her stay on track with her goals.

“I have a trainer and we try to go five days a week when I’m home and then when I get to another place, he’s texting me a workout or he’ll FaceTime me and say, ‘Are you still in the bed?’ We try to keep it going,” she said.
